OCSSDI Memorial Scholarship
Application & Eligibility Requirements:
The Ohio Council of Skin and Scuba Divers, Inc. (OCSSDI) is proud to offer the Memorial Scholarship to support students pursuing careers in marine biology, underwater archaeology, and other marine-related fields. This scholarship helps future professionals advance their education while remaining connected to the diving community.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You or a family member must be a current OCSSDI member in good standing.
- You must be enrolled in a college or technical school that prepares students for a marine-related career.
Application Requirements:
To apply, please submit the following:
Completed Scholarship Application
(Apply online below – please include shareable links to the following required documents using Google Drive, Dropbox, or a similar platform):
- Curriculum Overview Link (PDF or DOC format preferred)
- Statement of Intent Link (Outlining your goals and interest in a marine-related field)
- Transcript Link (Most recent academic transcript, unofficial copies accepted)
Submission Deadline:
All applications and supporting documents must be submitted online by November 1st 2025
Selection & Award Process:
- Scholarship recipient(s) will be announced by December 1st.
- The OCSSDI Board of Directors will have full discretion over scholarship selection, the number of scholarships awarded, or if any awards are given.
- Scholarship funds will be sent directly to the recipient’s educational institution's financial aid office.
Post-Award Expectations:
Recipients agree to:
- Provide a photo for the official award announcement.
- Within one year, submit a short video presentation sharing their experiences and appreciation for the scholarship.
- Within one year, submit a written testimonial about the impact of the scholarship.
- These materials will be shared on OCSSDI’s social media platforms.
