Our board consists of dedicated individuals committed to the growth of the diving community. The trustees include both three-year and one-year members, ensuring a balance of experience and fresh perspectives.

The Ohio Council of Skin and Scuba Divers, Inc. (OCSSDI) began in 1959, shortly after the first diving clubs were formed in Ohio. Today, it is one of the oldest scuba diving organizations in the country, older than most certification agencies.
The Ohio Council of Skin and Scuba Divers, Inc. (OCSSDI) is dedicated to advocating for Ohio’s diving community through education, safety, environmental conservation, and legislative efforts. Since 1959, we have worked to unite divers, clubs, and industry professionals, providing resources, scholarships, and opportunities to support and grow the sport of scuba diving. Through initiatives like underwater clean-ups, legislative advocacy, and events like ScubaFest, we strive to protect Ohio’s underwater heritage and ensure a strong future for divers across the region.
