The Ohio Council of Skin and Scuba Divers, Inc. (OCSSDI) is one of the oldest scuba diving organizations in the country, dedicated to supporting Ohio’s diving community since 1959. We advocate for divers in areas of safety, education, environmental conservation, and legislative matters while fostering communication between divers, clubs, and industry professionals. From underwater clean-ups to scholarships, legislative initiatives, and ScubaFest, we work to protect and grow our shared passion for diving.
The Ohio Council of Skin and Scuba Divers, Inc. (OCSSDI) began in 1959, shortly after the first diving clubs were formed in Ohio. Today, it is one of the oldest scuba diving organizations in the country, older than most certification agencies.
