Introduction to the
OCSSDI
The Ohio Council
began in 1959, shortly after the first diving clubs were
formed in Ohio. Today, it is one of the oldest scuba diving
organizations in the country, older than most certification
agencies.

Diver License Plates?
The OCSSDI is currently investigating offering a special Ohio license

The Dive
Flag
OHIO REVISED CODE 1547.01 (22)
under Definitions. "Divers Flag" means a red flag not less than
one foot square having a diagonal white stripe extending from the
masthead to the opposite lower corner that when displayed indicates
that divers are in the water. 1547.08 (D) under Operations in
certain areas prohibited; no wake areas; marking by buoys or signs.
No person shall operate a vessel within three hundred feet of an
official diver's flag unless he is tendering the dive operation.
